We are off to a great start. The children are adjusting well to the schedule as well as working hard in the classroom. We are very proud of them. We have been reviewing colors and shapes in science and social studies. In math, we are working on the number 1. In phonics we are learning the sounds of our picture cards and have begun to slide the picture sounds into words.

Enclosed you will find the snack list for the year. We have assigned 2 students to bring snack each week. We have a total of 35 students between the 2 classes so please provide for about 18 students each. We ask that each parent bring snacks as well as 2 gallons of drink, either milk or juice.

We have also finalized our field trip list. Our first trip will be to the New Braunfels McKenna Children’s Museum and lunch at Landa Park on Wednesday, August 26^th. We will leave at 9:30 and return by 2:30. Cost is $6.00 person. This includes the fee for taking the bus. Please return your permission slip and money before next Wednesday. Remember that you must have your criminal background check done in order to attend any field trips. You may pick these up in the school office.
