Wow!  We are down to the last month of school and I can’t believe how fast the year has flown by.  Your precious children came to us as “babies” and they have all grown up into such sweet, smart little boys and girls.  Irene (Princess) and I would like to thank each of you for letting us share your darling children for the past 10 months.  We love to watch each and every one of them grow!!

This last month we will be practicing printing their names and printing letters.  They are continuing their phonics with the beginning consonants.  They are also still counting objects and learning their numbers.  This class has learned so quickly, I have had to find more worksheets for them.  I am so proud of them all.

We will be celebrating all the summer birthdays this month.  Please check the snack list and bring special treats on your child’s “birthday”.

The last book order is due back on Wednesday, May 7.  I need to send it off to get it back before the end of the year.

There is NO school on Monday, May 26, due to the Memorial Day holiday.

Our last day of school is Friday, May 30.  The school lets out at 1:30 and there is NO after school care that day.  We will be having an end of school party.  We will be getting McDonald’s Happy Meals for the children for lunch.  We would like all the children to stay for lunch with us.  Please send $3.00 for the happy meals.  The children can be picked up after lunch, 12:30 – 1:30.  All children must be picked up by 1:30.

Irene has been absent this week due to her brother being in the hospital following a motorcycle accident.  Keep her family in your prayers.  I will be gone from May 16-21.  I am going to California with my husband to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.  Irene will be the teacher for those few days.

The last week of school there is No cafeteria service.  All students must bring a lunch from home.  This is the last 4 days of school.  Actually only 3 days, with our final day being happy meals.

Thank you again for letting Irene and I get to know and love your child this school year.   I hope your child’s first year of school was fantastic!

Have a Happy Mother’s Day

and a Great Summer!!!!
